Honey Bourbon Syrup

Honey Bourbon Syrup

Something about the taste of bourbon in cooking is divine. The same can be said about honey…So we decided to put them together.
Now this syrup could be used a couple different ways. Here are a few :)

1. As a simple syrup in cocktails

2. On pancakes and waffles (of course)

3. Canning fruits such as peaches, pears, crabapples, etc

Honey Bourbon Syrup Recipe

Ingredients:

1 Cup Water

2 Cups Tamarack Jacks Raw Honey

1/4 Cup Bourbon (your choice of brand, but we like Bulleit)

Step 1. Add water to a pot and stir in honey over medium heat. Use a wooden spoon.
Step 2. Once the honey is dissolved, turn the heat up to high and bring to a boil.
Step 3. Turn the heat to low and let simmer for 20 minutes.
Step 4. Add bourbon and mix in.
Step 5. Remove from heat and let cool before using.

Recipe makes about 2.5 cups of syrup. Enjoy!
